Stockholm Through Our Eyes: Kungsholmen

Join us on a guided tour to Kungsholmen's gems! We show seven unique places, from Norr Mälarstrand to Hornsbergs strand.

1. Norr Mälarstrand in the evening light

Norr Mälarstrand
One of Stockholm's most beautiful beach promenades. Here, water, boating and city meet in a way that feels very typical of Stockholm. Especially nice during summer evenings when the sun sinks over Riddarfjärden.

2. The City Hall and the surrounding areas

Stockholms stadshus
Many visit the City Hall — but few take the time to discover the surroundings. Go down towards the water behind the building and experience the interplay between brick architecture, gardens and Lake Mälaren's open views.

3. Rålambshovsparken

Rålambshovsparken
A vibrant park where Stockholmers meet for picnics, swimming, walks and evening hangouts. Here the city feels relaxed and close to the water, with views towards Södermalm's silhouette.

4. Långholmen view at Pålsundet

Pålsundet
Between Kungsholmen and Långholmen lies one of our favorite areas for quiet walks. Small boats, water reflections and older environments almost create a small-town feeling in the middle of the capital.

5. Kronobergsparken and the police station

Kronobergsparken
A little beyond the main streets lies Kronobergsparken with its heights, trees and open spaces. Here you will also find traces of 1900s Stockholm with the police station and the growing stone city around it.

6. Kungsholmen Church and the older quarters

Kungsholms kyrka
Kungsholmen was long a place for craftsmen, industries and simpler housing. Around the church there is still an older and quieter side of the district left.

7. Hornsbergs strand

Hornsbergs strand
Here, modern Stockholm is clearly visible. New residential areas meet bathing, quay promenades and restaurants along the water. An area that shows how the city continues to change and grow.
